FOR THE FUTURE
Sustainability
It has been something that we have been driven by and is something that we hold close to our hearts and is a consideration on every action we take.
From foraging, using other local businesses left over, our locally roasted coffee, which spirits and beers we stock, our wine list (that is organic) to our syrups and concoctions we consider all the aspects to be sure we are being true to our ethos.
But sustainability isn’t just environmental. We strive to take care of our community, neighbourhood, our work colleagues and friends.
We have made strides in as many areas as we can. We have increased the efficiency of our building from an E to a B rating buy using LED’s, a new boiler and more.
We have committed to participation in the Sustainable Palm Oil Communities Project in Newquay. By doing so we know that we are helping to protect wildlife around the world from the impact of unsustainable agricultural practices.
‘Sustainability isn’t a slogan here, it’s baked into operations. Super-juice drastically reduces citrus waste, ingredients are up-cycled into sherbets, salts and leathers, and foraged coastal botanicals appear when in season. Compost feeds the bar’s herb planters, LED lighting and renewable energy power the venue, and packaging is minimised through refills, reuse and careful suppliers’ – Pinnacle Guide 2025
